Gold medals aren't really made of gold. They are made from a hard-to-find alloy called guts.

ABOUT ME
My resume!
Mason Kauffman is a Kinesiology graduate from Northern Illinois University and a former wrestler for the university. Since the age of four Mason has accumulated a wealth of knowledge of the sport of wrestling. Mason hopes to use his prep, college, and international wrestling experiences to help the next generation of wrestlers learn in a fun and constructive way.

Training Philosophy
At a young age I knew the sport of wrestling was different. My dad always preached to me that what you get out of life is because of what you put into it. I believe this is the same in wrestling. You have to put in the time and effort to get where you want to be. Those shortcuts will always haunt you at the biggest moments. This is what I will preach to my wrestlers repeatedly. We will put in the work but at the same time we will be having fun. We don't want our wrestlers burnt out and dreading practice. We want them excited to compete. Through countless hardships, injuries, and illnesses I've experienced while competing in the sport of wrestling this is what has kept me going. I truly found a love for competition and hope to ensue that same love for competition in my wrestlers. My goal is to prepare my wrestlers for life after the sport of wrestling, all the while creating moments and friendships that will last a lifetime.
